📌 Truck Driver Appreciation Week: An Ode to Our Drivers

Before most of us start our day, someone is already behind the wheel.

The truck is loaded. The route is set. And one of our drivers is headed down the road to keep a customer’s operation moving.

They’ll cover hundreds of miles. Navigate job sites many people will never see. And when the weather turns, traffic backs up, or the day runs longer than planned, they keep going.

At Merrell Bros., our trucks may carry the name on the door, but our drivers are the ones who carry our reputation down the road.

They are often the first person a customer sees and the last one to leave. They connect our people, our equipment, our services, and our customers across the country. Quite simply, much of what we do would stop without them.

There’s a reason people call truck drivers the backbone of an operation.

Around here, we know exactly why.

During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we want to thank every Merrell Bros. driver for the early mornings, late nights, long miles, safe decisions, sacrifices, and pride you bring to the job.

You keep Merrell Bros. moving. And we’re proud to have you behind the wheel.

📌 ERP Quest Update: Cleansing the Data Vault

Across the kingdom of Merrell Bros., Heather has taken up the charge to gather, sort, and cleanse the records needed for the next great migration into IFS. Working with teams across the kingdom, she is helping make sure the information carried into the new system is accurate, useful, and ready for the road ahead.

When this mission is complete, the reward will be felt by all: cleaner data, fewer errors, and better information in IFS from Day 1. Every corrected record and every gathered detail strengthens the foundation of the system we are building together.

📌 ERP Quest Update: The Financial Finish Line

Karson and the Finance team continue their march toward Finance Go-Live, one of the most important gates in the ERP Quest journey. The team is learning, testing, and fine-tuning how Finance will operate in IFS, making sure the system is ready before they cross into this next chapter.

When this mission is complete, the reward will be a Finance team prepared and confident to work in IFS, along with a stronger foundation for the rest of Merrell Bros. Each test completed and each process refined brings the whole company closer to a successful launch.

📌 ERP Quest Update: The Order of Super Users

A new order has gathered in the ERP Quest training hall. These Super Users will help lead the way as Merrell Bros. prepares for IFS, learning the tools, processes, and training needed to support teams across the company.

With ClickLearn Training on September 16 and final IFS solution training running September 28 through October 9, this group is preparing to guide others on the road ahead. Their quest is clear: clean data, trained teams, and a stronger Merrell Bros. ready for IFS.

Your Weekly Intentional Practice:

You don’t have to be a missionary to serve. What can you do this week to serve someone, either at home, at work, or in your community?

🎧 Solid Start Podcast | Weekly Devotional

Overview: What does it really mean to be called to serve? In this episode of Solid Start, Greg and Brian look at Luke 10:1–9 and discuss how serving God doesn’t require a passport or a mission trip. As a team from Merrell Bros. prepares to head to Jamaica to build homes and serve local communities, Greg and Brian challenge us to look at the mission field right in front of us. Whether it’s at work, at home, or in our community, we’re all called to serve, and sometimes the greatest opportunities are right where God has already placed us.

📌 Weekly Photo & Video Contest | Weekly Winner

🏆 Winner: Jon Cross

Before they scatter to job sites across the country, they all start somewhere.

Last week’s Employee Photo Contest winner, Jon Cross, caught a moment where a row of Merrell Bros. trucks was sitting still at our corporate headquarters in Kokomo, Indiana.

Lined up beneath an Indiana sky, they make for a pretty good picture. But they weren’t built to sit still for long. These trucks will haul equipment, move material, carry crews, and put plenty of miles behind them doing the work our customers count on us to do.

For the moment, though, they were all home.

Great shot, Jon. 📸

There were several submissions last week, the most we have seen so far in any single week since beginning the employee photo contest. It was really hard to narrow it down to just one. Please keep the submissions coming!

Be sure to send submit your entries to us this week using one of the following methods:

  1. Text your entries to 574-699-1155
  2. Email to [email protected]
